L’ORÉAL
Company Overview

L’Oreal provides access to products that enhance well-being, mobilising its innovative strength to preserve the beauty of the planet and supporting local communities. These are exacting challenges, which are a source of inspiration and creativity for L’Oréal.


Background

In a joint project with Apple and Apple Finance, L’Oreal engaged Crunch IT to design and deliver the setup and deployment project for over 100 iPads. This project was particularly challenging as it was to be delivered over the Holiday/New Year period when many key resources (at both Crunch IT and L’Oreal) had scheduled leave and as the L’Oreal Mobile Devices Management (MDM) Solution (AirWatch) was housed and managed in Paris.


Requirements

L’Oreal required the iPads to be configured using their AirWatch Mobile Devices Management (MDM) to enable their national sales team to easily access presentation and other sales materials from their SharePoint system. They also required the configuration of AirWatch to enable the easy addition of new users and management of existing user profiles.

Crunch IT worked with Apple to ensure that the iPad’s were delivered within the timeframe required, including the advance shipment of several iPads for proof of concept demonstration.

Crunch also worked closely with the internal L’Oreal team across Asia and Paris to develop the AirWatch profiles and access requirements for the project.

Elton Ward
Company Overview

Elton Ward Creative was established in 1937 as a photographic portrait studio, which has developed into a leading graphic design agency in Sydney. Elton Ward Creative provides complete business solutions to clients such as Phillips, Nine Events, Kone Elevators, and numerous NSW Government entities.


Background

In a joint project with Apple and Apple Finance, Elton Ward Creative engaged Crunch IT to manage an office relocation in conjunction with an infrastructure refresh.


Requirements

Elton Ward Creative required their IT Infrastructure to be relocated and reconnected to their new premise in a secure manner, whilst keeping downtime to a minimum. Elton Ward Creative also upgraded the workstations, server and associated storage to maintain the efficiency of their IT systems, which is required for their high level of service.

Company Overview

Bruni Dunn was established in 2008 by Dino Bruni and Lachie Dunn. Bruni Dunn is considered a leading mid-tier advertising agency in Melbourne. Bruni Dunn creates fresh ideas in order to build brands and foster business growth for market leading clients such as Typepower, Kodak, Berkowitz Furniture and Burdens Bathrooms.


Background

A client with Crunch IT for over 5 years, Bruni Dunn engaged Crunch IT to administer an office relocation whilst assisting in the procurement and upgrade of their server.


Requirements

Bruni Dunn required their IT Infrastructure to be relocated and and reconnected to their new premises in a very short timeframe with minimum downtime. Crunch IT were able to co-ordinate a server upgrade, set up and commission a new switch, re-patch and test all wiring, while installing multiple other components simultaneously.

Various challenges arose due to the super fast relocation turnaround and Crunch IT was able to ensure business operations were maintained. One solution included the setup of a 4G internet connection for use while there was no physical internet connected.

Leba Ethnic Media
Company Overview

Leba Ethnic Media are Australia's largest specialist advertising service provider in ethnic media, working with 300 multi-cultural newspapers, magazines, websites, all major radio stations and Pay TV.


Background

Leba are a long standing client who regularly engage Crunch IT for a range of technical advice and services. Leba have always used Macs in their business and have a custom built FileMaker database running on their server, which runs all of their day-to-day business functions.


Requirements

Leba's workstations and server were due for renewal so the Crunch team prepared a solution incorporating a fleet of Apple iaMacs and Mac Mini Server. The Crunch Engineering and Project Management Team delivered the solution within budget and with minimal downtime to the Leba business.

Macarthur Legal Centre (MLC)
Company Overview

Macarthur Legal Centre (MLC) was established in 1987. It is part of a nation wide coalition of Community Legal Centres committed to social justice and defending human rights. Community Legal Centres are funded by the Federal and New South Wales Governments.

MLC provides a range of services both legal and specialist to the Macarthur community.


Background

After an introduction from the Business Team at the Sydney Apple Store, Crunch IT was engaged by MLC to provide advice on developing a long term strategic plan to upgrade its aging IT infrastructure.


Requirements

Through consultation, Crunch IT developed a thorough understanding of how the Centre works and its IT need. They identified key areas for improvement to quickly a significant boost to both productivity and user experience.

Crunch IT were able to create a road map providing MLC with a staged plan identifying the key priorities that has allowed MLC to obtain substantial productivity gains on a limited budget.

Background

Requirements

World Vision
Company Overview

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.


Background

Crunch IT was engaged to provide specialist technical consulting to the World Vision IT team on how best to integrate their fleet of Apple Mac’s in the mainly Microsoft network.


Requirements

Crunch IT worked with World Vision to understand the challenges faced in the existing configuration of the Apple Computers. From this Crunch IT documented these with a series of recommendations to improve the operations and management of the Apple fleet. Following on from this Crunch IT was engaged to provide technical advice as the World Vision Team implemented the changes and rolled out a new fleet of Apple Computers.

YEAH (Youth Empowerment Against HIV/AIDs)
Company Overview

Founded in 2005, YEAH is an Australian youth led health promotion organisation supporting young people to take control of their sexual health through participation and leadership.


Background

Crunch IT have been working with YEAH since 2010, providing technical solutions and consulting services.


Requirements

Nearing the end of its life, the YEAH server suffered a hardware failure, limiting access to services and data. Due to the age of the equipment it was determined that the best course of action was a replacement server. Within a week Crunch IT were able to scope, acquire, set up and install a replacement server and have YEAH back up and running, with zero data loss thanks to backup infrastructure previously installed by Crunch.
